Processing residual streams fruits and vegetables
Developing and testing of processes, techniques and products based on residues from fruit and vegetable production. After stabilisation and determining shelf life the market introduction will be prepared for developed products with a view to various (potential) customer groups.

During the ‘Open business days’ of ILVO in Melle (B), 384 people participated in a taste test with the different tomato juices made by Tomabel together with ILVO. One recipe was clearly preferred. This recipe will therefore be used as a basis for a new tomato juice product. The reactions of the tasters are used to further improve the recipe.
