Insect week

The possibilities with insects are abundant and keep growing. This is why there is an increasing interest within various fields. These small insects are great waste processors and contain high quality proteins, fats and chitin. They are already being processed in human food and have recently been introduced to the aqua culture. Even cosmetic companies and other industrial processors use insect chitin for multiple applications. During this second stakeholders meeting ‘insects’, on December 12, experts from the field share their insights into different themes such as economy, health, feed and management. Furthermore, there are interactive sessions with interesting and practical workshops.
